'This is the last Will and Testament of me Joseph Swindale of 4 Crown St, Millom in the County of Cumberland I hereby revoke all Wills made by me and declare this to be my last Will and Testament I appoint William Swindale - Cross Gates - Leeds to be Executor of this my Will and direct that all my just debts and funeral and testament expenses shall be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease I give and bequeath to Millicent Mary Swindale my piano and musical cabinet dressing chest stained also dressing chest with marble top To John Stephen Swindale the book case the carved oak overmantle the writing desk and fancy inlaid table The house no 4 Crown Street be sold after twelve months to be divided between his five children William, Thomas, Clara, John Stephen & Millicent Mary The large Kitchen Dresser I give to John Stephen Swindale All of the goods with the exception of those belonging to Mrs Barbara Swindale to be sold I give to William Swindale my family bible and portrait I give my gold Albert to Joseph Barnett Swindale -
