In 1910 William was living in Cross Gates, Leeds2. He later moved to Nantwich. According to his obituary in a local paper he was a textile buyer. His wife Henrietta started making pastries etc. in a small way and then later enlarged the scope into a full business. William did not take part in running the business but their son Joseph came into the business and was trained in it.d
Person ID 01046
1 My original information was that William was born on the 7th of September 1875 but the 1839 register gives the birth date as 6th of September.
2 How do we know? Perhaps Joan Shrewsbury had some correspondence.
